Great session for the summer.
NE F5-7 at first and quite choppy with the high tide. I went for a 5.0m
and wave board and got out there. It had rained for the whole drive out but
was dry on arrival and the sun came out later.
Just spent a couple of hours blasting around and later ventured over to
Aberdovey. It was very choppy in the shallow water over on the Ynyslas side
but a bit more organised over in the dovey main channel. As the tide
started to fall I returned to the Ynyslas side and came in to refuel at
which point Al arrived.
So back out for a speed session in the channel. Some nice fast runs chasing
Al around (until the gybe at least)
and as the wind steadied a bit started going for some gybes. This wave
board turns so fast I was always too late with the rig flip but I'll get it
soon but a few decent attempts anyway. Great fun until the wind dropped off
but after 4-5 hours out I was dune for anyway ;-)
Packed up to leave and, guess what, it started raining and chucked it down
for the whole drive home ;-)
